About Andrew Mitchell

26 Years Building & Leading the Platforms I Now Advise On

I spent 26 years inside Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence — most recently as Vice President of Platform & Enabling Technologies — where I was personally responsible for creating, architecting, and owning HxGN SDx and SDx2: the platform now at the heart of major Asset Information Management programmes across the world's largest industrial operators.

As Product Owner from SDx's inception, I shaped its founding architecture, drove its product roadmap, and led its evolution into the modern multi-tenant SaaS platform it is today. I held global responsibility for the SDx/SDx2 strategy and roadmap when I left Hexagon at the end of 2025.

I founded AMIM Consulting to do what I'm most motivated by: working directly with asset owners and EPC contractors to help them realise the full depth of capability in their AIM and EIM investments — capability that most organisations never fully discover.
